The Mudslide falls between glass and metal in tonal quality. Made of fine black porcelain ceramic finished with a hard clear glaze, then fired over 2200 degrees, sound travels through the glazed surface of a Mudslide into the porcelain body. The tone is brighter than a glass slide yet not as metallic as a metal slide; very much like the bone slide of old.

Like the Moonshine Slides, the Mudslide has a fired
in-glaze logo for a no scratch surface and a bisque interior, providing the same moisture-absorbing properties for better control.
Many players use the Mudslide for electric slide guitar playing.
