The Mudslide falls between glass and metal in tonal quality. Made of high fire black porcelain and finished with a hard clear glaze, sound travels through the glazed surface of a Mudslide into a closed ceramic body. There is glass between the clay particles making the micro-resonators smaller. This means that after the high-end distortion is absorbed, glass becomes the resonator. The tone is brighter than a glass slide yet not as metallic as a metal slide; very much like the bone slide of old. Like the Moonshine Slide, the Mudslide has a bisque interior, providing the same moisture-absorbing properties for better control. Click here to find your size. These Mudslides are 2 3/4" long, so covering the fretboard is easysmooth and easy, the way slide playing should be. | |||||
